Synopsis

International bestseller and former British Naval officer, Douglas Reeman is the author of 35 novels under his own name, in addition to 26 works of historical fiction penned under the pseudonym Alexander Kent. Twelve Seconds to Live is a thrilling World War II sea adventure. The mine is an impartial killer. Not just anybody can stay calm and cool in the presence of an enormous seamine primed to explode at any moment. But the men of the British Navy’s Special Countermeasures are a rare breed, and Lieutenant-Commander David Masters is one of their best. When a German midget submarine is captured, and its insides are revealed to contain mine-laying equipment, Masters is called in to assess and combat this prolific new threat. Twelve Seconds to Live combines meticulous historical accuracy with powerful drama for a gripping piece of military fiction.
