Synopsis

Hi there, I'm Hank.

Here’s what you need to know about me: I don’t try to make the kids in my class laugh, but somehow I do. Spelling is my worst subject. (Come to think of it,
so are math and reading!) I try hard—I really do. So why does my brain always freeze into a Popsicle?

When Hank has to write a poem about nature for his homework, he doesn’t know where to start. Luckily his family decides to go camping. This will inspire
Hank, right? Not so fast—with bugs and animals and a rainstorm, living in the great outdoors is a bit scary! Can Hank help his family survive the night?

Of all the titles he has received, the ones he relishes most are husband, father and grandfather. Winkler and his wife, Stacey, have three children, Jed, Zoe and Max, and six grandchildren. They reside in Los Angeles with their two dogs.

Hank Steps Up and Gets It Done I was a big fan of the original Hank Zipzer series, (about 17 books from 2003 to 2010), and was sorry to see it wind up, although it guess a break made sense. I was surprised and pleased, then, to find this book #8 from the newer "Here's Hank" series, (which started up......more

Perfect series for kids! It's cute, funny, and any kid that ever struggles in school will relate with Hank. Hank's friends are diverse, and I also love that Winkler broke the "manly" stereotype and made the father afraid of camping, not the mother. I also love that it is written in Dyslexie font in......more

Henry Winkler wasn't diagnosed with dyslexia until after he was famous as the Fonz on Happy Days. I love that he teamed up with children's literature icon Lin Oliver to create a series of funny books printed in a special font for people with dyslexia.......more

This is my teacher reading book. A great story for 2nd-3rd graders. Amusing and easy for that age to relate to. Uses a special font to help making reading easier with dyslexia. A camping adventure to help Hank write a poem for school is the premise of the story.......more
