I learned more about Italy during Mussolini's reign. The story had a lot of action within it and sad elements. In some ways it was a little too much with the additional characters and their impact to the story because certain storylines were never fully developed. Overall I liked it.......more

Very disappointed in the plot twist in Chapter 23. Undermined my feeling about the book in general. Other than that, it was an interesting story and informative read about Italy during that era in history.......more
