About Marcus Rediker

Marcus Rediker is a professor of history at the University of Pittsburgh and an activist in a variety of social justice and peace movements, most recently the worldwide campaign to abolish the death penalty. He is the author or coauthor of four other books, including Villains of All Nations and The Many-Headed Hydra.
