Noah Andre Trudeau is a Civil War historian who has written articles for Civil War Times Illustrated, Gettysburg Magazine, Blue and Gray, North & South, The Columbiad, America's Civil War, and Military History Quarterly. He has also written six books on the subject, including the bestseller, Gettysburg. His Like Men of War was honored with the Grady McWhiney Research Foundation's Jerry Coffey Memorial Book Prize. He lives in Washington, DC.

I would give this 3 1/2 stars if I could. It was a nice, very quick read. Naturally it focusses mainly on the civil war but it does give a few chapters on his life before and after it.
