It cripples your relationships with people, God, and life itself. It destroys your ability to pursue your dreams.

This paradigm-shattering book will free you from the forces that would turn you into a victim. It will lead you step-by-step through a simple process that will free you from the pain of the past and protect you from the pain of the future.

How to Stop the Pain will help you discover the emotional freedom that everyone wants but few experience; break the secret link to the pain of the past; identify the number one source of suffering; never be hurt by another insult; learn the only biblical way to prevent pain; free yourself from the need to judge others; and experience freedom from criticism.

About James B. Richards

Dr. James B. Richards accepted Christ and answered the call to ministry in 1972. His dramatic conversion and passion to help hurting people launched him onto the streets of Huntsville, Alabama. Early on in his mission to reach teenagers and drug abusers, his ministry quickly grew into a home church that eventually led to the birth of Impact Ministries.

With doctorates in theology, human behavior, and alternative medicine, and an honorary doctorate in world evangelism, Jim has received certified training as a detox specialist and drug counselor, as well as a trainer for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA). His uncompromising yet positive approach to the Gospel strengthens, instructs, and challenges people to new levels of victory, power, and service.

Jim's extensive experience in working with substance abuse, codependency, and other social/emotional issues has led him to pioneer effective, creative, Bible-based approaches to ministry that meet the needs of today's world.

Most importantly, Jim believes that people need to be made whole by experiencing God's unconditional love. His messages are simple, practical, and powerful. His passion is to change the way the world sees God so that people can experience a relationship with Him through Jesus.

Jim and his wife, Brenda, have six grown daughters and fourteen grandchildren. They continue to reside in Huntsville, Alabama.

This book was really good. Oh the pain misguided Christians can heap on other Christians and non-Christians alike, just by judging instead of loving! Really opened my eyes to areas within myself that need to be worked on.......more

This is NOT fiction like almost all the other books I read. It is a christian book that deals with moving on, forgiving and not judging (those that have hurt you). I have read it 3 times and recommended it to many others that seem to be "stuck" in their lives and can't seem to move on. Excellent......more
