Synopsis

After two years of living in the shadows, I force myself to leave my protective bubble and move to college. When I get there, though, and come face to face with the casualty of the greatest mistake of my life, I have to wonder whether I’ve made the right decision. But then, as time moves on, I learn how to breathe again, and that’s not something I’m willing to give up on. Maverick may be determined to push me away—something I deserve—but all I want is to hold on to my freedom, and him, tighter. Will we find happiness with each other again, or are we destined to a lifetime of hurting one another? Five Things is a standalone college contemporary romance, which contains heavier themes and situations that some may find triggering.

About Violet Paine

Violet Paine is the author of Five Things, the Eyam Green Academy series, and the Our Solemn Vow Duet. When she isn’t writing, she can be found tucked up on her couch, wrapped in a duvet with a cuppa tea or glass of wine in one hand and a book in the other. She lives in Derbyshire, England, with her husband, their daughter, and their fur baby.

About Christian Leatherman

Christian Leatherman is a professional audiobook narrator who has recorded titles in a wide range of genres, including sci fi, fantasy, romance, mystery, thrillers, and nonfiction. He enjoys bringing life to complex worlds and characters and never would have guessed that his previous life as a forensic-science student and beer/malt biologist would prepare him to narrate all the medical and forensic jargon common in police procedurals and nonfiction.
