This got an extra point for turning out to be based on TRUE events in the author's grandfather's life - wow! Easy, enjoyable adventure with a great NZ feel to it, about a boy sent to a farm and losing his dog in an unfortunate accident ... and then a most nail biting rescue of said hound.......more
