Titania Hardie is the bestselling author of a range of distinctive books on folklore and magic. She lives in Somerset with her husband and two daughters.
Carolyn Seymour is a voice artist and audiobook narrator. She was born in England and grew up on a farm on the Isle of Wight. Her rather eccentric Russian Irish parents instilled in her a love of reading and a passion for the countryside.
I loved this book. Intriguing and kept me interested all the way through. A great read.
3+ stars to Titania Hardie's novel, The Rose Labyrinth. Few have heard of the author or this book, but when I stumbled upon it in the book store, I had to give it a chance for a few reasons: 1. It was a book within a book. It's a normal hardcover book, but in the front cover, there is a second book,......more
Este primul roman al autoarei, publicat in 2008 si a devenit bestseller international imediat dupa lansare. In prolog ne aflam in anul 1600, ziua Sf. Gheorghe, unde un grup de oameni sunt adunati in jurul unei mese si vorbesc despre arderea pe rug a lui Signor Bruno, care nu a dorit sa se lepede de......more
I seem to be in a minority of people who gave this book four stars. I do not mind. My rating is my opinion and no one has to agree. Okay...so what we have here is part Da Vinci Code-style puzzle-solving, part FATE FATE FATE ROMANCE FATE FATE!!1!!, part jarring combination of "it was all just smoke and mirrors" with honest-to-goodness rips in the fabric of space-time, and part woo-woo about heart transplants and cellular memory,......more
“A gripping and adventurous tale…an interactive and bewitching read!” Woman Magazine (UK)
“Hardie's debut is richly woven, drawing on sources ranging from Elizabethan mysticism to computer games; the intricacy of the quest will pull readers in." Publishers Weekly
“Narrator Carolyn Seymour is a perfect choice to narrate this fancifully eccentric story because she does British accents perfectly and she’s also mastered the nuances of regional American speech patterns. The first half of the story is well paced and suspenseful, and Seymour’s beautifully modulated voice makes listening a pleasure. If Dan Brown’s books weren’t mystical enough for you, try this offering by Titania Hardie.” AudioFile
“Hardie's details are well researched and encyclopedic and her puzzles, number gimmicks, and conjectures about Europe's cathedrals and labyrinths entrancing…Recommended for most popular fiction collections.” Library Journal
