Although this book had an interesting story to tell, I had some issues with the way Martin chose to tell it. For starters, the structure of the book was a little off-putting. I hadn't read anything abut this finding of a lock of Beethoven's hair, so found the topic fascinating. However, I found the book far too wordy and I skimmed an awful lot of it. A slim volume, one quarter the size, would have held my interest and would have received 4 stars in a review.......more
