Synopsis

My name is Tamara Bentley, Bent to my friends, and I'm not supposed to exist. I was born of the forbidden union between a witch and a werewolf, and they've been trying their damnedest to hide my existence ever since.

But now my secret is out, and my uncle, the leader of the wolf pack, is pissed beyond belief. In his eyes, I'm something that should've never been born. He wants me dead and doesn't care who he has to sacrifice to get the job done.

I'm far from helpless, though. Not only am I a champion athlete, but I'm strong enough to punch out a bus. Good thing, too, because a rare lunar event is about to increase my uncle's already terrifying power. I'll have to call on every last ounce of strength I have if I want to survive the night and save the lives of everyone counting on me.

Note: Was previously titled Get Bent! with the series name of The Hybrid of High Moon

About Rick Gualtieri

Rick Gualtieri loves adventure, snarky dialogue, and mayhem. So it's only natural that his bestselling Tome of Bill series kicks the mired status quo of vampire fiction straight in the teeth with its mix of supernatural chaos and geeky humor. It's time to make fantasy fun again.

Rick lives alone in a dark, evil place called New Jersey with only his wife, three kids, and countless pets to both keep him company and constantly plot against him. When he's not busy monkey-clicking words, he can typically be found jealously guarding his collection of vintage Transformers from all who would seek to defile them-Defilers Beware!

Rick Gualtieri is one of my favorite indie fantasy writers with his Bill the Vampire and its many spinoffs. The books are dark, irreverant, hilarious, and full of pop culture mockery that would put the Big Bang Theory to shame. However, there was an absence from that universe that was deeply noted:......more

One of the little factoids that got me here is how he seemingly described the characters’ physical characteristics without resorting to evaluating them externally. For instance,......more

This is a witch and werewolf story that ends up seeming more superhero than anything else. The hybrid 19 year old has power from both sides of her heritage, and she's neigh unstoppable in a fight. Good thing she uses her power to protect her town. And there are hints of spirits or some other creatur......more
