This was a satisfying end to the series. I liked how the author gradually builds the story, rather than rushing to get to a pivotal point. It was my own fault. I read the first in the series (The Convicts), and wanted to know how the tale ended. Mr. Lawrence keeps the story moving along, but basically I just didn't enjoy it much at all. It just seemed filled with needless nastiness. Hope I learned my lesson!......more
