I have to admit to having grown a little bored by the series by the time I reached this book. It is good to see the servants grow and change a little in the books but I do find that the characters are simply not deep enough to keep my interest in them.......more

A promising idea (characters). Both, Emily and Fleetwood had thrilling backgrounds. But, I was disappointed I didn't enjoy it more. I am inclined to believe that the convention this time spoilt a story. It needed more pages, perhaps even a deeper (serious) approach.......more
