Synopsis

Their lesson plans didn't include love. But that's about to change . . .

When Martin Krause arrives at Rose Owens's high school, she's determined to remain chilly with her new colleague. Unfriendly? Maybe. Understandable? Yes, since a loathsome administrator gave Rose's beloved world history classes to Martin, knowing it would hurt her.

But keeping her distance from a man as warm and kind as Martin will prove challenging, even for a stubborn, guarded ice queen. Especially when she begins to see him for what he truly is: a man who's never been taught his own value. Martin could use a good teacher—and luckily, Rose is the best.

Rose has her own lessons—about trust, about vulnerability, about her past—to learn. And over the course of a single school year, the two of them will find out just how hot it can get when an ice queen melts.

About Olivia Dade

Olivia Dade grew up an undeniable nerd, prone to ignoring the world around her as she read any book she could find. Her favorites, though, were always, always romances. As an adult, she earned an MA in American history and worked in a variety of jobs that required the donning of actual pants: Colonial Williamsburg interpreter, high school teacher, academic tutor, and (of course) librarian. Now, however, she has finally achieved her lifelong goal of wearing pajamas all day as a hermit-like writer and enthusiastic hag. She currently lives outside Stockholm with her patient Swedish husband, their whip-smart daughter, and the family's ever-burgeoning collection of books.

This book was just okay. It started out very slow and it did eventually picked up but not enough for me to give it 5 stars. Given the subject matter of Teach Me, it was very PG-13. I've read other books about S&M and they were way hotter. Even the sex scenes fell flat. They were just okay. The only......more

DNF @ 31% Oh boy. To start off, I was watching Desperate Housewives today and the female narrator sounded very similar to Renee/Vanessa Williams (I know she's not, but their voices are so alike) which kept me amused when all else failed. But even with the Renee sound-a-like I just couldn't finish thi......more
