About Michael E. Wikan, LTC US Army (Ret.)

Michael E. Wikan, LTC US Army (Ret.) is a decorated veteran and the author of Sons of Kolchak. A graduate of West Point, Mike served in the 24th Infantry Division in Munich and the 25th Division in South Vietnam, and with the joint/combined command in South Korea, West Point, Ft. Stewart, Georgia, Ft. Buchanan, Puerto Rico, and Ft. Eustis, Virginia, where he retired from the Army. Along the way he earned a master's degree in engineering from the University of Michigan. Mike lives with Sandra, his wife of over fifty years, in Mt. Dora, Florida.

This book is a must read for anyone with an interest in history. You actually feel like you're reliving the events of Charlie Company as they took place. The book is the perfect mix of action, adventure, humor and wisdom, and the best part is - it all actually happened. Excellent read.......more

This book is really intended for those who served in Vietnam. The language and buzz words speak to them. Unfortunately, for those who didn't serve, the military palare takes away from the book, making it less accessible. However, this book should be read by "baby boomers" whose memory of the Tet Off......more
