About Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich
Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich is the author of 8th Grade Superzero, a Notable Book for A Global Society and Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People. She is the co-author of the NAACP Image Award nominated Two Naomis, a Junior Library Guild selection, and its sequel, Naomis Too. She is the editor of The Hero Next Door, a 2019 anthology from We Need Diverse Books. She lives with her family in NYC, where she writes, makes things, and needs to get more sleep.
About Nathaniel Rich
Nathaniel Rich is the author of Cloudthief (2026) and three previous novels, all New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice selections: King Zeno (2018); Odds Against Tomorrow (2013); and The Mayor's Tongue (2008). His short fiction has won the Emily Clark Balch Prize and been a two-time finalist for the National Magazine Award for Fiction. He has also written two works of nonfiction: Second Nature (2021), which includes the story that serves as the basis for the film Dark Waters; and Losing Earth (2019), a finalist for the PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award. Losing Earth is being adapted into a film directed by Tom McCarthy.Rich is a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine and a frequent contributor to The Atlantic, Harper’s, and The New York Review of Books. A 2025 Guggenheim Fellow, he teaches at Tulane University and lives in New Orleans.
About Tim Foley
Tim Foley was born in Flint, Michigan, and since attending college at the Kendall School of Design, has made his home in Grand Rapids on the west side of the state. A freelance illustrator for the past three decades, his work has appeared in magazines and newspapers around the world and books have included many titles in the bestselling young adult "Who Was" biography series, as well as several adult coloring books.
About Imani Jade Powers
Imani is an actor and screenwriter who has appeared on and off Broadway, and has narrated about 120 audiobooks of all genres, mostly in the YA, fantasy/sci-fi, mystery, and non-fiction genres. She speaks French, has great facility with accents (specifically regional UK accents) as she's lived in Paris, London, and New York, and is constantly working on mastering new dialects. Her narration style is conversational, intimate, and warm and she’s been the recipient of an Audie and three Earphones Awards. She's been an avid reader since her childhood, so to get to marry her two loves of performing and reading in narration is a dream!
