Synopsis

When Regina's friends insist on setting her up a "Fantasy Fix" to help her get over her cheating ex, she dreams up some kinky out-of-this-world encounters that they could never possibly bring to life. But the next thing Regina knows, her friends have got her laced into a shiny black corset, tight leather pants, and a sexy pair of stilettos. It's time for some downtown vampire-fantasy fun...

The Vampire Ball in Manhattan's East Village isn't really Dmitri Vidâme's idea of a good time, but as a member of the Council that governs the Others, he has to keep an eye on all the young vamps who prey on the pretenders. After he feasts his dark eyes on fiery Regina at the bar, he knows that he must have her. But for the first time Dmitri meets a woman who is more than a match for his indomitable will. And he may be the fantasy Regina hoped for...until she—and her feisty friends—discover her sexy new lover's bloodsucking secret.

About Christine Warren

Christine Warren is the author of Heart of Stone, as well as the Novels of the Others, including New York Times bestsellers Big Bad Wolf, Walk on the Wild Side, and One Bite with a Stranger. Born and raised in coastal New England, Christine now lives as a transplant in the Pacific Northwest. When not writing (as if that ever happens), she enjoys horseback riding, playing with her pets, identifying dogs from photos of their underbellies, and most of all reading things someone else had to agonize over.

Regina McNeill has a fantasy and her friends, being friends plan a fantasy fix for her. She dreams of a kinky encounter with a vampire. But before her friends fix her up a real vampire takes her home and she lives her fantasy. I have to admit this was an okay book, but it was hard for me to get through. There's alot of S and M. But I got through it and the last half was really good.

I originally read this book a few year ago as an e-book, Fantasy Fix. I wasn't sure how different it would be with the added plot line of the rogue vampire, but it was even better than the original. It was erotica to begin with and the more extreme scenes are taken out in this version. It is another great Others book.

It’s ok, but very superficial and shallow. Everything happens too fast. There is no emotional development so the actions and dialogues of the characters are not believable. The characters are poorly created. Their personalities are not well defined, they are all over the place and Dimitri’s complete......more

Yep. "One Bite With a Stranger" is the retitled version of "Fantasy Fix", an early title by Christine Warren (Ellora's Cave, 2003). For those of you who weren't willing to pay the $40 most sharks were charging for the few copies available, now you can just pick up this book and you'll have the same......more

This story was okay bordering on bleh. Like many of it's genre, it dives into maddening passion and calls it 'eternal love'; though anyone with any sense who's been in a real relationship knows better. Survive the first 10 months, then the first 10 years before you start calling it 'eternal'. At any......more

Meet Dmitri Vidme, head of the Council of the Others. A very old vampire and extremely bored. He can touch minds, read thoughts, make people obey his orders. He also makes sure that the Others (vampires, werewolves and supernatural beings in general) are behaving themselves towards humans, i.e. not k......more

This was a such a good read. It was you classic PNR smutastic romance. I enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely continue on. I'm not in the mood currently to write a long review so...... I really liked it and if you are looking for a kinda cheesy, kinda funny, steamy vampire read you can't go......more
