About Sandra Markle

Sandra Markle is the author of numerous award-winning books for children. A former elementary science teacher, she is a nationally known science education consultant. Markle has received many honors for her series Animal Predators, Animal Scavengers, and Animal Prey. She is also the author of the Insect World series and several single titles. This is an excellent book about polar bears, but it’s probably not for sensitive kids as the very first page has a graphic eating scene and there are several throughout the book. My kids are not at all sensitive though and they really enjoyed it.......more
