Charles James (C. J.) Box Jr. is an American author who has published twenty-one novels. His very popular Joe Pickett series, as well as other works have been translated into many languages, selling millions of copies. Twenty-four of his novels have made the New York Times #1 Best Seller List. Box has received numerous awards, with one very interesting one from the National Cowboy Museum in 2016 for the Western Heritage Award.
Box uses his roots in Casper, Wyoming to give authenticity to his novels. He graduated from the University of Denver in Mass Communications. He has had various jobs: ranch hand, surveyor, fishing guide, newspaper reporter, editor, owner of an international tourism marketing business. He has had an illustrious career as an author, with some of his novels being adapted for film.
Box resides with his wife and business partner, Laurie on a ranch in Wyoming. They have three daughters and one grandchild.
