Synopsis

The Accident Man returns in a heart-stopping race to prevent a global holy war

Tom Cain's The Accident Man introduced Samuel Carver-a man hired to make bad things happen-to rave reviews from critics and readers alike. Now, Carver is back in a new adventure that takes him from the war rooms of Washington, D.C., and the palaces of the French Riviera to the Arctic peaks of Norway and the war-torn Serbian countryside.

Carver finds himself lying broken and damaged in a Swiss sanitarium after rescuing his lover, Alix Petrova, from her Russian spymaster. But when Alix's former employers force her to leave him and seduce an American military official, Carver emerges, shockingly and violently, as his former self-just in time to discover a Texas billionaire's messianic plot to destroy the world.

About The Author

Tom Cain is the pseudonym of an award-winning journalist with 25 years’ experience working for Fleet Street newspapers as well as major magazines in Britain and the United States. Picked this book up and couldn't put it back down; and it got increasingly hard to put down with each page turned! I hadn't read the prequel, as I found 'The Survivor' (UK title) on a bookshelf at work and wasn't aware it was part of a series. I'm reading the prequel now with equal enthusiasm. I tho......more

No Survivors by Tom Cain This is a story about a spy named Carver who can do it all- and is an epitome of a 007 Agent. He can rig hardware, don clothing to impersonate someone, murder several people at once, and fall madly in love with a former KGB agent. This novel is characterized by short chapte......more

The Survivor, also titled ‘No Survivors’,is the second book in the Samuel Carver series and if you like your books written at a fast pace with a never say die, hard and tough, do what ever it takes kind of hero and really nasty baddies, then I suppose this is the kind of thing for you, it is for me.......more

I had a to grit my teeth a bit, reading this one. Russian mafia versus Right Wing Christian Sect! There is some ridiculously bad theology in this book, though, I guess rewriting Revelation as a vehicle for part of a plot is to be expected in this day and age. And, what is it with thrillers using the R......more
