INTO DARKNESS.

Into Darkness is the fifth episode – a blockbusting 688 pages – in Terry Goodkind's irresistibly intense new serial novel, The Children of D'Hara.

'I want to introduce everyone to THE CHILDREN OF D'HARA, a new series that continues the story of the lives of Richard and Kahlan. This is a journey that began 25 years ago with the 1994 release of WIZARD'S FIRST RULE, when Richard first met Kahlan that fateful day in the Hartland woods.

After the 'The Sword of Truth' series ended, I knew there was more to Richard and Kahlan's story. Much more. A whole world more. For years, readers have asked me about Richard and Kahlan's lives after the Sword of Truth series . . . and importantly, about their children.

While my masterwork, 'The Sword of Truth', concluded with WARHEART – 20 languages and 26 million books sold – I was burning to tell readers more about Richard and Kahlan. For that reason, this new series starts immediately after the 'Sword of Truth' books ended. Without skipping a beat, readers will plunge back into Richard and Kahlan's lives, with new episodes releasing every three months.

So it is that I want to welcome you all back into the Sword of Truth world with many of the characters besides Richard and Kahlan, such as the Mord-Sith, that we have come to love. Learn what the star shift has done to their world and what monsters now lurk in shadows. I promise an arresting, beautiful, and sometimes tragic adventure that will keep you glued to this irresistible story.'
—Terry Goodkind.

About Terry Goodkind

One would never think that a person with dyslexia would become a writer of novels. However, American author, Terry Goodkind crossed the usual boundary and wrote his first novel, even though he did not receive a formal education. He began his adult life building cabinets and violins, as well as was a marine/wildlife artist. His first novel, Wizard's First Rule, was published in 1994, thus beginning his illustrious career. He is now also a part-time race car driver, and is also a devoted husband and a friend to animals.

To quote Author Terry Goodkind........My privilege in life is the joy of writing books and telling stories about people who fascinate me, the good and the bad.

Goodkind's newest novel is NEST, where readers will be drawn into a world that is dark and evil. He remains one of the most controversial thriller writers of our time.

Ugh With each book in this series, the writing devolves more and more. This installment was basically fan fiction in desperate need of an editor. The story drawn out where it didn't need to be, compressed where it should have been expanded, and padded throughout with useless dialogue and pointless ex......more

While this book satisfied my need to know what happened next, I also found it as frustrating as the other 4 in this series. Yes, the ending was good, in that everyone survived who we wanted to survive, but there were so many glaring holes in the plot, it made it frustrating to read for me. There were......more

This latest book encompasses one of Goodkind’s worst trademarks: repetition. I enjoyed the shorter stories that came before this, but then Goodkind had to start repeating sentences and ideas to make this one longer. And he goes into way too much detail about what the surroundings look like in each s......more

Welcome to the concluding book Children of D'Hara 5 : Into Darkness. In the previous book Kahlan is pregnant and it turns out twins will eventually be born. Though not a smooth pregnancy which sends Richard off in a search of a rare flower to help out his ailing wife. That's a task and a half. Add t......more
