Excellent read. Was a very enjoyable read, the only thing disappointing in the last few of the Maxine Barry/Faith Martin books was the fact that the main characters fall into bed (or onto a rock in this book) to have fantastic sex. The descriptions gave a wonderful sense of place in this story - the warmth, colours and other senses were powerful. I enjoyed the writing style and the plot wasn't too bad, however, I think the sex scenes were unnecessary and didn't represent romance. Overall, an entertaining read.......more
