Synopsis

Nothing compares to the physical chemistry between an immortal and his life mate—or to the spellbinding thrills in a new Argeneau novel by New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands…A simple promise to protect her friend’s infant son has turned Allie Chambers’ existence upside down. Caring for—and feeding—an orphaned vampire baby has been tricky enough. But as little Liam grows, so does his appetite. He needs more blood than she can personally supply. And when her attempts to steal from a blood bank go awry, Allie wakes up surrounded by doctors, cops…and the gorgeous, mesmerizing Magnus, who she can neither trust nor resist.Magnus never expected to find his life mate breaking into a blood bank. Clearly, Allie is already entwined with his world—in deeper, more dangerous ways than she realizes. A band of vicious rogue immortals is in pursuit, and Magnus’ first task is to keep her safe. His second: to awaken her to mind-blowing pleasure, and hope she’ll accept the life, and the passion, that only he can offer.

About Lynsay Sands

I have always heard avid readers (or listeners, in the case of audio books) say that one of their happiest times is getting lost in a good book. But, it never occurred to me that the writers of books feel the same way. Ontario, Canada born author Lynsay Sands has just that feeling when she writes. She says it may be that writers are secret control freaks, getting to make "God-like" decisions such as who is good or evil, who lives or dies, who is successful or not in every story. One satisfaction is making sure the good guys win and the bad guys get their punishment....... that does not always happen in real life. Sands says writers are also dreamers who get to make a living doing their dreaming.

Sands favorite genre is writing about vampires. As a matter of fact, she would not mind being one. She imagined being one as she wrote her books, all of which have a touch of her good sense of humor. She promised the vampire community that she would not reveal too much or use real names. But then, as she got into her writing, she did not keep her promise, and found it humorous to go back on your word to a bunch of vampires.

Sands has been writing Paranormal Romance books for several years, but not since 1142, the year she claimed to be born, as a vampire. She likes to explain......."that's what books are; waking dreams or stories, tales to amuse, entertain and distract us from everyday life".

Great Immortal Romance, can be read as a stand-alone! I really liked this book from start to finish. This was the 30th book in the Argeneau series and the first one that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed it without feeling like I missed anything at all in not reading any of the previous books in the......more

I dipped my toes back into the Argeneau world and it reminded me why I both loved & gave up on this series. The wonderful thing is how comforting it is to see all the characters that we've met over the course of the series. The downside is that the individual books/plots get way too bogged down in p......more

Allie made a promise to her immortal neighbor that she would take care of her son if the people who were after her showed up, so when they did and the neighbor's house exploded after she was given the baby to take care of, she believed the mother to be dead. Now she had to take care of a vampire bab......more
