Поръченията на конгресмена Махоуни нямат край и Джо Демарко е човекът, който трябва да ги изпълнява безпрекословно и на всяка цена. Не е лоша тази част от серията, прочетох я с интерес. Моята оценка - 3,5*.......more

If the name John Mahoney means nothing to you, you’re in the wrong book. About 10 books back with The Inside Ring is where you should start. (But, if that isn’t possible, House Revenge also works by itself.) Mahoney, back then, was the Speaker of the House and one of the great powers of our Congress.......more

Don’t ever piss off Joe DeMarco. He brings a new cleverness to revenge. Fantastic Read. This is the 11th book in this series that I have read, and I have loved everyone of them. However this book could be read as a stand alone, and you would still really enjoy it. The characters really make this book. Joe De Marco is a government fix it man for the congressman John Maho......more

Quotes

“Originality, intelligence, and humor lift Lawson’s excellent eleventh Joe DeMarco thriller…As DeMarco outthinks and outfights the various vicious killers and proves his worth to Mahoney once again, he provides all the fun and action that Lawson’s fans have come to expect.” Publishers Weekly (starred review)

“In this fraught political season, America is bruised and angry, and Lawson’s DeMarco novels are often shrewdly prescient. Mahoney remains a ‘selfish, corrupt son of a bitch’ who differs from the Philly mobsters only by belonging to a ‘different gang’; and the real-estate developer is positively Trumpian in his arrogance and self-importance. Angry Americans will flock to House Revenge.” Booklist (starred review)

“A sour, effervescent, wholly delicious revenge fantasy so cynical about big money, big politics, and big crime that each new development carries a charge of amused resignation. The perfect chaser for an evening spent watching a presidential debate.” Kirkus Reviews
