Learned quite a lot about Society of Old Charleston. Charleston has seen everything from dueling, revolution, Civil War, Reconstruction, Depression, hurricanes and earthquakes. Lots of colorful local family history. A surprisingly quick read.......more

This is a fine book on some different aspects of Charleston History told by Ms Margaret Middleton and Edward Good. Highly recommend! There are always so many interesting families whose stories have yet to be told so it is always nice to find more on the shelves.......more
