Synopsis

His to devour. His to claim. His to keep?

I only went out to the supermarket. Then I was abducted. By aliens. Freaking aliens! What the hell? So now I'm on another planet, at the mercy of one massive alien predator . . . And what an alien he is! Big muscles everywhere, handsome, winged, and with a burning desire to eat me. Whole.

Jyr is the leader of a fearsome alien species known as the Gryn. Dark and dangerous, winged and clawed, these predators need females, and he believes he already owns me.

I'm not that sort of girl. For a start I don't belong to him, or anyone. I'm not staying on this planet to produce babies for an alien male who stalks my every move. Who looks at me like I'm his perfect prey. Who makes me feel warm inside. Better than I've felt in a very long time.

But none of that matters. I don't belong here. I've got to get back to Earth, by any means possible.

Just one problem . . . This alien predator isn't going to let me go . . .

Contains mature themes.

About Hattie Jacks

Hattie Jacks is a British author of steamy sci-fi romance. She loves to write about super hot alpha aliens and the feisty human ladies who are not prepared to accept their fate. Unless fate tells them to lose their hearts . . . Hattie is the first to admit that her entire writing machine runs on tea. And cake, preferably together and preferably chocolate fudge (the cake, not the tea). She lives in a small corner of the British Isles with her husband and a striped cat shaped missile called Jimmy.

The back cover invites the reader to meet 10 remarkable women you’ve probably never heard of who shaped Canada. What an intriguing invitation! From Margurite de la Roque in 1542, to Ttha’naltther in 1713, and through the decades to Mona Parsons in 1941, each story is gripping in recounting the chall......more

This is a book that should be part of history studies in school. Women have done amazing, brave, heroic things, but usually have not been included in history the same as the men they worked alongside. Women often did what no one else managed to do. In Canada there are many women of that description.......more

Fierce is a terrific book that shines a light on ten women from Canada’s history that have faced incredible challenges and done amazing things, but whose stories are largely unknown. Women like Marguerite de La Rocque, who survived for years on a deserted island of the coast of Newfoundland with onl......more

I bought this book for my daughter, who devoured it in one sitting. :) I also enjoyed all of the stories it contained and wish I had been exposed to these stories when I was younger. I admire the work that the author put into her research and appreciated the synopsis at the end of each story where s......more

Bought this book while I was back home in Canada as I wanted my daughter to read it. I want her to be aware of Canadian History as it is not a topic even touched in the United States at school. I have read it and both my parents also and we all immensely enjoyed it. This is a book that makes you ask......more
