Synopsis

Even in the wide open spaces of Texas, secrets find a place to hide…in the heart of a shy determined woman; behind the hard, rugged exterior of a DEA agent; and in the dangerous world of drug smuggling.Rodrigo Ramirez is sent undercover as an itinerant laborer on Gloryanne Barnes’s stepbrother’s farm in Jacobsville, where he’s looking to bust a new and vicious cartel operating south of the border. Gloryanne is smart, savvy, and fiercely independent, but her job has put her in danger from the same criminal Rodrigo is investigating. She’s drawn to the enigmatic new farmhand, Rodrigo, a man who is much more than he seems, and who stirs a desire that leaves her breathless. But secrets are about to shatter all their lives, for better, for worse…and maybe forever.Gloryanne’s sweet innocence is too much temptation for a tormented man. Confused and bitter about love, driven by his dangerous job and searching for answers, Rodrigo is not sure if his reckless offer of marriage is just a means to completing his mission—or something more. But as Gloryanne’s bittersweet miracle and Rodrigo’s double life collide, two people learning just what it means to trust must face the truth about each other, and decide if there’s a chance for the future they both secretly desire.

About Diana Palmer

Sometimes, there are those people who have interests in several fields. Such are the interests of American author Diana Palmer (AKA Susan Spaeth Kyle). Susan Spaeth was born in Cuthbert, Georgia in 1946 to parents who both had busy careers. She and her younger sister Dannis were raised in Chamblee, Georgia, where they graduated from Chamblee High School. However, it was their move to Cornelia, Georgia where Susan met her future husband, James Kyle. They married in 1972, and had two children, Blayne and Selena.

Susan returned to college when she was 54, and graduated from Piedmont College Summa Cum Laude in 1995. By that time, she had written many novels, with her first novel having been written in 1979 under the pseudonym, Diana Palmer. With over 150 novels in print, and even more being translated to different languages, she continued to work on her Master's Degree as her time permitted. Even before her novel writing career began in earnest, she was a journalist for several years. Her interests are so varied that it serves to expand her writing subjects. A major in history with a double minor in Archaeology and Spanish gave her great credentials for her historical romance novels. Her Masters work includes History, with an emphasis on Native American Studies.

How can you lose when your interests include, first of all, being a wife and mother, then a writer, followed by gardening, knitting, crocheting, astronomy, archaeology, and animals, of which she has dogs, cats, birds, and lizards!! There should be a lot of good writing material in there somewhere.

I have to get this out of the way first: This H/h are *perfect * for each other! DP had so much fun with the dramatic irony of the hero with his secrets and the heroine with her secrets both coming to the same conclusion: While enjoyable in bed, the other was too uneducated/stupid/peasant-like to be......more

Wow, what an absolute hatefuck from DP. Have we touched bottom in her well of cruelty towards her heroines with this one? Or is it another false bottom? I can’t even imagine sinking lower than our PRINCE (he’s related to minor royalty!) of a zhero. Warning: lots of profanity ahead. (view spoiler)[I should have know (hide spoiler)]......more

Rating: 2.5 / 5 Whenever I read a Diana Palmer book, I can usually be guaranteed three things: the heroine will be a virgin, the hero will be broody and troubled, and the hero will treat the heroine horribly at some point in the book. Fearless was no exception to that. But I did like the fact that fo......more

I love alpha cruel males so thank you Diana Palmer for Rodrigo Ramirez! Damn what a sexy bastard he was. I thought it was hilarious how he thought Glory was an uneducated plain nobody when in reality she was a hotshot super fierce lawyer. Poor Glory had a horrible past, lots of emotional and physica......more
