About Captain Robert A. Gormly USN (Ret.)

Captain Robert A. Gormly, USN (Ret.) served twenty-nine years as a Navy SEAL, as a platoon leader in SEAL Team Two in Vietnam, as the commanding officer of SEAL Team Two, as the Executive Officer of UDT-22, and as the commanding officer of SEAL Team Six. His awards include the Silver Star, three Legions of Merit, three Bronze Stars (two in combat), The Defense Meritorious Medal, and a Purple Heart. He now lives in San Diego, California.

An interesting memoir. Some chapters are great and fast paced, very exciting. However he really gets into the internal navy politics and becomes a bore. What I found most interesting was his time in Grenada, and his perspective from a Commanding officers point of view.......more
