Synopsis

Betrayal, endurance, and a life redirected by fate—Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ by Lew Wallace follows Judah Ben-Hur, a Jewish prince whose world is shattered when he is falsely accused by his childhood friend, now a Roman officer. Stripped of his position and sent into brutal captivity, he survives years of hardship driven by a single purpose: to return and seek justice.

His journey carries him across deserts and seas—from slavery to unexpected freedom, from anonymity to renown. Along the way, he rises through strength and determination, most famously in the thunder of the chariot arena, where skill and resolve collide in a moment that defines his path.

Running alongside his personal story is another presence—quiet at first, then unmistakable—the life and influence of Christ, whose path intersects with Judah’s in ways that begin to reshape his understanding of vengeance, suffering, and redemption.
