Synopsis

Several things about 14-year-old Georgia Nicolson's life are very wrong. Her bedroom smells like her little sister probably peed somewhere, but she can't find where. Angus, her enormous cat, keeps terrorizing Mrs. Next Door's poodle. Dad's gone off to look for work in New Zealand. And one of her friends has rated Georgia's nose a zero on a scale from 1-10. But what's really driving her crazy is that Sex God Robbie doesn't give her the time of day. In fact, he's dating total idiot Lindsay, who Georgia happens to know wears thong knickers, which have no purpose except to climb up your bum. Is it too much for Georgia to hope for some full-frontal snogging with a Sex God--if he ever notices her? Louise Rennison caused a sensation with this hilarious book that has been called Bridget Jones's Diary for adolescents. Narrator Stina Nielsen brilliantly fills the shoes of one of the most colorful young adult book characters in years.

This book is the teenage Bridget Jones but funnier. Georgia and her quirky family -especially her little sis who likes to leave smelly present in her bed and Angus the feral cat who wreaks hvoc throughout the household and neighborhood- are a delight. This book will have you LOL and in tears.

This was just as fabbity-fab as I remember it. Oh, Georgia, you say the most ridiculous shit, and I love you more for being such a drama llama every time. She's a complete loon of a 14-year-old in every possible way. I laughed out loud every few pages. I can't wait to get to the books that I haven't......more

Hillariosity! This is another book, from the brits, that people either love or hate. I happen to love this series, and laughed so hard I actually cried. I think people who hate this book are turned off by the main character Georgia. She is vain, self centered, hormonal, ridiculous and, I think, abso......more

I don't have much to say about this book other than at many points this book was more than hilarious! It was hysterical! The writing was quite good and the protagonist was interesting. She was the typical epitome of most teenage girls on the cusp between childhood and adulthood. I felt it dragged on......more
