Synopsis

The X-Men are mutants—born with extraordinary powers that set them apart from the very humanity they are sworn to protect. Now, ground-breaking research has revealed a method for reversing the genetic mutation responsible for mutant powers—whether the mutant wants it reversed or not. The U. S. government wants to use this procedure to eliminate the so-called mutant menace once and for all—but the X-Men soon learn that the true source of the procedure is their old enemy, Sinister! And his agenda is far more complex and dangerous than even the X-Men can imagine.

Like Curse of the Mutants before it, With Great Power is surprisingly good, despite some bad press around it. The first four issues are the titular With Great Power arc, and instead of just retreading the Shed arc from Amazing Soider-Man, it tells a vastly different story that feels organic for the......more

The arc story started with Cyclopes trying to......more

Continuing the great x-read of 2017/2018... (and I am really far behind with my reviews so I will be putting up a bunch of quick-takes to catch up...) This one was pretty fun if not particularly deep. And while it is apparently an unpopular take, I like Bachalo's art a lot so that helps. Feels like a......more
