She holds a first-class degree in English Literature, in addition to qualifications in creative writing, children's mental health, and teaching. She lives with her husband and sons in a small coastal town just outside of Brighton.

This book's protagonist did so many things in "What I Did", that it was very difficult to keep track of them all. The book begins with a woman on the run with her 5-year old son, hiding from an abusive husband, who just happens to be a cop. The protagonist's mother is in prison for killing her husband......more
