Synopsis

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of We Need to Talk About... Kevin Bridges.

Aged 17, Kevin Bridges walked on stage for the first time and brought the house down. He only had a five-minute set but he discovered he really could earn a living from making people laugh.

Kevin began life as a shy, nerve-ridden school-boy. Reaching his teens, he followed his true calling as the class clown. This was a guy going somewhere - off the rails seeming most likely.

Kevin's trademark social commentary, sharp one-liners and laugh-out-loud humour blend with his reflections on his Glaswegian childhood and the journey he's taken to become one of the most-loved comedians of our time.

About Kevin Bridges

Having started performing stand-up in 2004 shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Kevin Bridges has ascended the ranks and is now regarded as one of the UK's top comedians. He has made numerous television appearances on shows such as Live at the Apollo, The Jonathon Ross Show, Graham Norton Show and fronted his own BBC One series Kevin Bridges - What's the Story and the stand-up special Kevin Bridges: Live At The Referendum. He has won multiple awards and performed four critically acclaimed, box office record-breaking tours. His most recent tour included a staggering nineteen-night run in his hometown of Glasgow's twelve thousand capacity Hydro arena. Kevin has also released four chart-topping DVD's and his 2014 autobiography, We Need to Talk about Kevin Bridges, was a Sunday Times bestseller. Kevin will return to the stage in 2022 with his latest stand-up show which will coincide with the release of his debut novel.

This is one autobiography that I am eternally grateful did not have a ghost writer. I’m not sure anybody else could capture Kevin Bridges quite as well as Kevin Bridges. Ever since being introduced to him on ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’ in 2009, I have loved his self-deprecating humor and hi......more

KB is my one of my favourite comedians and I read this with perfect timing- finishing the last few chapters this morning after seeing him live in Dundee last night. I love that the book is about how he 'got there', with the majority of the book about him growing up and the final third about how he g......more

Very enjoyable and makes me want to go and see him on tour even more! Ps the end date is a lie but I didn'......more
