A lot has changed since the Adlets left Tyton to protect their uninfected daughters and the large model AI's shut themselves down. Rival gangs filled the power vacuum and the Chargers -- chem addicted tunnel dwellers, have organised, leading to a rare opportunity to form a trade alliance. But it all goes wrong.

Lusa, an Adlet daughter with a dark side on a tight leash, injures Kerr in the chaos, and then murders the Chargers' leader.
Kerr, a Charger orphan, swears revenge. But Chalice, her unfaithful ex and the Charger's new leader, has a different plan -- forcing Kerr and Lusa to work together to bring back a large model AI. But the mission becomes more dangerous than anyone could have foreseen. Rival gangs, secret conspiracies, and betrayals. Worst of all -- their growing attraction to each other.
