I found this book to be more of a history lesson than a book to enjoy reading. It was hard after seeing movies about the Earp's to read a book about them. I found I was comparing what I had seen in the movies to what I was reading. I think any one with an interest in the Earp's would like this book.......more
I love all of Jane Coleman's novels with history behind them. This one actually based on Allie Earp's actual journals with some artistic liberty. A good read since my family lives in Arizona now I know those areas......more

Coleman overcame my preconceived idea that this was just another western story. She did a very commendable job of retelling a western that has been told and retorld a hundred times.
