Synopsis

Death was the only way she could leave. Rachel Baker, a devoted mother of three, disappeared one Monday morning after dropping off her children at daycare. Her car was found on the side of the road, but there’s no trace of her anywhere. Soon, the questions start piling up: What happened to her? Would she leave her children just like that? Was the husband involved? When they find out she was planning to leave her husband, the question arises whether he killed her because she wanted to leave or if her sister helped her disappear. Who tells the truth, and who hides an ugly secret? FBI Agent Eva Rae Thomas is in the middle of renovating her house with her boyfriend, Detective Matt Miller, when she is called in to assist with this strange case. She knows Rachel, as their children are best friends, and has no problem taking over, trying to find her friend and fellow mom. But when Rachel’s body turns up in a storage unit, and Eva Rae digs deeper; she realizes this killer is especially vicious and determined not to be found. Meanwhile, the husband and mother-in-law fight over the right to the children, and things soon turn ugly as secrets are gushing out of the closet on both sides, one darker than the next.

Also, the possibility of a mystery plot involving a dead husband's return from death piqued my interest. Addition......more

2 stars! ⭐️⭐️ Let me begin by saying I love wine. I love wineries, tastings and vineyards. The setting of this book is what made me decide to click that “Request” button on NetGalley. This is what bumped it to a 2 star book for me - the only reason. June’s new husband has drowned on their honeymoon.......more

A powerful tale of motherhood and marriage, Till Death Do Us Part made it evident that there was a virtuoso at work behind the intoxicating words. From the evocative setting to the onion-like plot, I was immediately immersed in the Napa Valley vineyards and the many dark lies. I do have to say, howe......more

A Review (maybe a rant, spoilers ahead): Let me begin by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed Flynn's last novel, The Girls Are All So Nice Here, and I gave it four stars. That being said, I had high expectations for her 2024 release, and maybe that's on me, but this book fell flat, especially in compar......more

I know I just have zoned out. I have listened again to 4 chapters thinking I missed it. Please _ if you read this book- will you......more
