About The Author
Carol Ginandes, Ph.D. is a health psychologist who practices in the greater Boston area. In her clinical practice, she integrates hypnosis and mindfulness with psychotherapy to help clients address a wide range of mind-body issues. She holds a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and offers supervision and training for professionals. In her cutting-edge research, she has explored the area of hypnotically accelerating bodily healing. In addition to her award- winning professional publications, Dr. Ginandes has created several mind/body hypnosis audio programs for the general public. These include topics such as preparation for surgery, moderating allergic reactivity, normalizing blood pressure, practicing deeply restorative napping, and reducing the discomforts of TMJ and tinnitus. In addition to her work as a psychologist, she is also a fine art photographer and a former yoga instructor.
