Synopsis

In The Sky-Liners, Louis L’Amour introduces Flagan and Galloway Sackett, heading west from Tennessee to seek their fortunes. That’s when they came across an old Irish trader who offered them two fine horses if they would agree to escort his granddaughter, Judith, to her father in Colorado. Flagan saw nothing but trouble in the fiery young woman, but they needed the horses. Unfortunately, Flagan was right, for Judith had fallen for James Black Fetchen, a charismatic gunman whose courtship hid the darkest of intentions.

Now Fetchen and his gang are racing the Sackett brothers to Colorado—leaving behind a trail of betrayal, robbery, and murder. Flagan and Galloway can only guess why Judith is so important to Fetchen and what awaits them at her father’s ranch. One thing Flagan knows for sure: The tough and spirited woman has won his heart. But can he trust her with his life?

Grew up on Louis L’amour; what a classic (but slightly dated) western book. A reluctant hero, a clear distinction between good and evil, and shoot-outs galore. Just don’t ask what happened to people of color or look deeper into the 16 year old love interest.......more

Great! I love Louis L'Amour, and I've been reading him for years. No one writes of the Old West like this man, and no one tells better stories. I always feel like I'm right there in the story along with the characters in the book. With Louis there's no fluff, no wordy and over long passages of descri......more

Two sensational reads by a master author. The Skyliners and Galloway are another 2 great reads by Louis L'Amour. Western adventure at it's best by a master wordsmith. I look forward to many more hours of pleasure rereading his great works.......more

Good reading. I liked both stories. Once again reading about the terrain, nature, and animals are as interesting as the tales. Well worth my time.......more
