Synopsis

Nola Trenholm is hopeful for a fresh start in the Big Easy but must deal with ghosts from her past—as well as new ones—in this first book in a spin-off series of Karen White's New York Times bestselling Tradd Street novels.

After a difficult detour on her road to adulthood, Nola Trenholm is looking to begin anew in New Orleans, and what better way to start her future than with her first house? But the historic fixer-upper she buys comes with even more work than she anticipated when the house’s previous occupants don’t seem to be ready to depart.

Although she can’t communicate with ghosts like her stepmother can, luckily Nola knows someone in New Orleans who is able to—even if he’s the last person on earth she wants anything to do with ever again. Beau Ryan comes with his own dark past—a past that involves the disappearance of his sister and parents during Hurricane Katrina—and he’s connected to the unsolved murder of a woman who once lived in the old Creole cottage Nola is determined to make her own...whether the resident restless spirits agree or not.

I admit it. I was sad when the Tradd Street series by Karen White ended. There’s really no other series like it, the perfect mix of mystery, charming southern atmosphere, with a touch of paranormal (just a sprinkle!), and I looked forward to each installment. Enter Karen White’s shiny new spin-off s......more

Wow, what a fantastic start to the new Royal Street series. It’s set in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. Pub. 3/29/22 Where main character/psychic medium Melanie Trenholm’s Tradd Street series left off, her step-daughter Nola Trenholm’s life continues in Karen White’s brand new series. It was fun......more

Nola Trenholm is looking for a fresh start in New Orleans. Things are falling in place as she successfully purchases her first home. However, this historical home needs quite some work. Is Nola up to the task? Also the house has some previous residents still “inhabiting” the home. Nola is not capabl......more

This was such a fun pivot to my regular books! Paranormal isn’t a genre I dip into often and the trademark Karen white writing style had me hooked. I didn’t audio and felt the narrator was a bit monotone but I stuck with it and ended up really enjoying the story. Book 2 comes out in May and I can’t......more

Nola is still the same obnoxious person that she was in all the previous Tradd Street series books. Hasn't changed even though she is ten years older. Still spoiled. Much prefer her southern room mate. Don't think I will read any additional books in this particular series.......more
