About The Author

Ruth Plumly Thompson (July 27, 1891-April 6, 1976) was an American writer of children’s books. She wrote many “Oz” books after “The Wizard of Oz” creator and writer L. Frank Baum passed away. Louisa May Alcott (November 29, 1832-March 6, 1888) was an American novelist and short story writer. Her best know work is the novel “Little Women”. Laura E. Richards (February 27, 1850-January 14, 1943) was an eclectic American writer who wrote more than 90 books, including biographies, poetry, children’s stories, and nonsense verse.
