Synopsis

Princess Annama wants to find a prince, but she does NOT want to wait for a prince to choose her. She takes matters into her own hands and invites princes from all over to come meet her. She wants to find a prince who is kind, fun, and sensitive – sensitive enough to feel a single chickpea laying under a tall stack of mattresses!
When prince after prince disappoints her, Princess Annama wonders if she’ll ever find the kind of prince she’s looking for. But when a weary and wayward surfer dude washes up on the shore of her kingdom, she wonders if, just maybe, this unlikely prince is just the match for her.
The Prince and the Pea is a charming spin on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale, and shows that a person’s value is more than just what you see on the outside.

Author Bio

Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805–1875) originally trained as a singer and actor, but he gained fame with his fairy tales, which were not meant merely for children but for adults as well. Andersen frequently used a colloquial style that disguises the sophisticated moral teachings of his tales. Many of Andersen's fairy tales depict characters who gain happiness in life after suffering and enduring conflicts. "The Ugly Duckling" and "The Little Mermaid" are Andersen's most intimate works. A playwright and novelist as well as the author of children's tales, Andersen publications include the novels The Improvisatore and Only a Fiddler, as well as his personal memoirs, The Fairy Tale of My Life.
