Synopsis

Christmas 1945. The war is over, but the Nightingale Hospital still bears the scars. Matron Kathleen Fox has the job of putting the hospital back together, but wonders if she is up to the task. I enjoyed this very much. It's done slightly different to the others in the series in that all the chapters began with someone's name. Then that person's story was told but all of the chapters came to the same conclusion from that person's outcome. It worked really well. Of course being a Christmas......more
