Simon Brett was educated at Dulwich College and Wadham College, Oxford, where he earned a First Class Honours Degree in English. He has written over seventy books. Many are crime novels, including the Charles Paris, Mrs. Pargeter, and the Feathering series. Simon was also Chairman of the Crime Writers Association from 1986 to 1987 and of the Society of Authors from 1995 to 1997.

I have enjoyed most of this series but sadly I felt that this book did not have a decent plot. The police do not seem interested in the murder and two of the witnesses do not even tell the police about having seen a corpse.
