As I came out of The Enclave with the horse I’d gotten when I had become a mage, I couldn’t hide the giant smile on my face. But as it spread into a silly laugh, I realized that I might be at least a little sleep deprived.And that lack of sleep was entirely Emlyn’s fault. The woman fucked like an animal. And I was starting to consider if life magic in bed should be restricted for my own health and sanity.Another laugh escaped me at the thought. I was plenty happy to have another go the next day if we weren’t on the road. Maybe I could nap in the afternoons to make up for it.Emlyn was on her own horse, her chin held high and proud as she rode by my side. Both of them were doing their best to keep the road clear. Zuri was another beauty, though very different. House Trevis drew its lineage from the Southern Isles, and with that came rich, dark skin and dark, braided hair that she piled atop her head and decorated with gold.Gold looked damned good on her.My small detour for the free horse, which I refused to leave behind, had made ripples in the city, and people were practically pouring out between the gaps in their homes to greet me.“Thank you, everyone, but I must go.” I waved to the citizens with a big dopey smile on my face.I was feeling pretty damn good.
