Synopsis

Take an adolescent boy. Make him angry. Add dragons.
Saving Prince Bruno from the church crypts hasn't turned out the way Nellie had planned. The boy is morose, angry, hellbent on revenge, and incapable of wielding the power he has been given. But the group of refugees who have fled from the city have bigger concerns. It's winter, they need to survive, and find a safe place to recover and plan their next move.
But the boy does something stupid. Through the prince's single impatient action, they don't have the time to recover anymore. The wizard knows where he is, he has the whole city eating out of his hands, and Nellie has to come up with a plan to defeat him, because the only other option is death.

A Long Story Told I am hoping that at some point, Patty Jansen, will continue with the tales and lives of the people of Saarland. She's done a fantastic job with the Ghostspeaker series and Dragonspeaker trilogy. I loved meeting the various character and seeing the changes in their lives and stations......more

This was a good third addition to the series. Lots of things happen here and we get to see the Kingdom at its worse. Ellie is so humble and unassuming that she is by far my favorite character in this book. Henrik was a close second.......more

Too naive and fool of nonsense The first book looks promising, and then it all becomes boring and implausible. Don’t waste your time. There is nothing but nonsense.......more
