Ed McBain was one of the pen names of successful and prolific crime fiction author Evan Hunter (1926 – 2005). A very good early (1957) 87th precinct novel featuring Carella and his beautiful wife, Teddy. Brown hunts down a con man low enough to steal $5.00 from a young girl while Carella is after a killer. Good procedurals, good action, good book. Recommended.......more
