Synopsis

Where life as we know it is impossible, the real adventure begins.Venus is a hostile planet, covered by active volcanoes. Nevertheless, NASA launches an expedition to search for life there, because the dense clouds of Earth’s hot sister could offer good conditions for it. Their specially developed airship cruises in the clouds of Venus to serve as a research platform for its four astronauts. When they discover dangerous activities on the glowing-hot surface, there can only be one explanation: A highly sophisticated life form must be at work.

A hard sci-fi book having its plot on Earth and Venus makes up an interesting story. The two storylines coming together on Venus are great to read, as both are equally interesting! But the book seems to be a bit rushed towards the end, including leaving some loose ends.......more

Enjoyable and Enlightening All of Morris’s stories teach a lot about science and our dolor system. That I enjoy as much, if not more than the story itself. This story did not have as much of a dramatic climax as others and neither did it have as much “wrap up” at the end for resolving loose ends. I......more

For me, it leaves me a little flat for the way the relationships and problems to solve are solved. It is all believable, but is just a bit too convenient. I enjoyed the story and recommend it if......more
