“ONE of the dam-dest in our whole saturnalia of the accursedBecause it is hopeless to try to shake off an excommunicationonly by saying that we’re damned by blacker things than ourselves;and that the damned are those who admit they’re of thedamned. I started this book thinking Fort was some kind of proto-Alex Jones, 20th century conspiracy theorist, but I was missing the point.
