Jeanette Escudero worked as an attorney before picking up a pen at thirty years old to write something other than legal briefs. Being published fulfilled a dream and gave her an outlet for her imaginative, romantic side. Writing as Sidney Halston, she is the USA Today bestselling author of the Panic series, the Worth the Fight series, the Iron-Clad Security novels, and the Seeing Red duet. In addition to writing and reading, Jeanette has a passion for travel and adventure. She and her family have been to the Galapagos Islands and have hiked Yellowstone, the Shenandoah mountains, and the Great Smoky Mountains. Born in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents, she currently lives in South Florida with her husband and her three children, in whom she’s instilled a love of nature and an appreciation for the planet. This story carries a woman through a defining moment in her life when no one shows up to her birthday party. This was a hard one to like, mostly because the main character was so unlikeable in the first half of the book. It's unlikely she was that clueless about how disliked she was or that anyone wo......more
“The Apology Project is a great story of unlooked-for romance and redemption.” —Authorlink“The Apology Project balances wry, sassy moments with the need to accept some old-fashioned humble pie, and is highly recommended for book clubs and public library General Fiction collections.” —Midwest Book Review“Jeanette Escudero wraps up The Apology Project with one perfectly poignant and witty bow. This novel shines with sparkling humor, saucy banter, and honest self-reflection, amidst realistic discussions about identity, feminism, and #metoo. Sorry to say, but you’re going to ignore everything else once you dive into these pages.” —Tif Marcelo, USA Today bestselling author of In a Book Club Far Away
