Synopsis

Having renounced his noble heritage for the benefit of his beloved Jane Porter, Tarzan disappears into the vastness of the Canadian North Woods, seeking solace in escape and new experiences. In this previously untold episode recounting the tragic aftermath of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic novel Tarzan of the Apes, John Clayton finds more than he ever imagined. Captured by kidnappers, Tarzan breaks free. But ahead lies indescribable dangers in the form of savage Norse raiders and a tribe of anthropoids unknown even to the mighty ape-man himself!

THE WILD ADVENTURES OF EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS
In the Wild Adventures of Edgar Rice Burroughs series, today’s authors innovate and expand upon Burroughs’ classic tales of wonder in truly wild fashion, even moving his characters and storylines outside the bounds of canon to alternate universes!

About The Author

Like his literary hero, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Dr. Michael Sanford was born in south Chicago. By high school, he was living in Kentucky. Completing his education at Vanderbilt University and the UK School of Dentistry, Dr. Sanford returned to the bluegrass state, where Michael and wife Sharon raised two children, Darek and Devon. The retired couple now divide their time between Kentucky and Florida, where Michael enjoys playing the piano, working on art projects and where he penned his first Tarzan novel.

I wanted to really like this book/story, but the final third of the book was terrible. As much as I really liked the first two thirds, it was still badly hurt by the final third.......more

A new Tarzan novel that rocks! This book has several things going for it from page one. First of all it is official; being licensed by Edgar Rice Burroughs®. Next, it is written in a style that mimics Burroughs so well that it could easily be mistaken for a Burroughs original newly discovered. And la......more
